3DSUG Mission Statement
3DSUG was established to encourage and coordinate technical information exchange between owners and operators of 3D Systems equipment and provide feedback to 3D Systems on hardware and software modifications.

The 3DSUG will meet annually to provide a forum for presentation of papers relating to the dissemination of processes and new technologies related to the operation of 3D Systems equipment and the secondary or final application of parts or/and tools made from these systems.

The objectives of the 3DSUG include the following:

• Encourage effective communication of information exchange amongst all 3D Systems equipment Owners and Operators by providing a forum for presentations of papers and the ability to network with colleagues.
• Propose solutions to problems that involve basic modification to hardware or software.
• Provide the open atmosphere for technology exchange.

Specific activities of the 3DSUG include the following:

• Hold annual and periodic meetings for the purpose of conducting business of the 3DSUG.
• Establish special task or interest groups to study specific mutual areas of interest.
• Identify problems and propose solutions or improvements, and recommend uniform practices and techniques to be used by the membership.

Eligibility requirements for the SL/LS/ect. Dinosaur award are:

• SL/LS Users in attendance with the “most years direct SL/LS experience.” This is determined onsite by the 3DSUG executive committee, reviewing the conference attendance roster.
• Participation with the 3DSUG helps you become a dinosaur.
• Care to avoid more than two awards going to nominees from the “same current company” in the “same year.”
• Candidates must be at the conference and present at the awards banquet.
• The 3DSUG chairperson determines the number of awards, historically three to five.
• Previous recipients are not eligible. They are already dinosaurs!
• Employees of 3D Systems are not eligible, with the 3DSUG executive committee discretion.
