JONATHAN WILKE
Jonathan Wilke
Jonathan Wilke has worked as lead RP technician in the SiMT Rapid Prototyping Center since 2007.
 
Prior to joining SiMT, he served as a product designer at ESAB Welding and Cutting.
 
He holds two engineering technology degrees from Florence Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, South Carolina.
 
Jonathan is available to assist with your company's outsourcing and RP overflow needs.

The Rapid Prototyping Center at SiMT has added portable laser scanning services to its lineup of capabilities -- 3D Modeling, Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering. The new system is available on or off-site. If you're looking for a rapid prototyping service provider or a product development partner to handle your work overflow, SiMT is ready to assist you!

SiMT Rapid Prototyping Center technicians construct CAD models from point cloud and nurbs -- data captured during the laser scanning process.

Laser scanning enhances the rapid prototyping process by drastically reduce the time it takes to turn data from physical models into digital files during the design process. Here Jonathan Wilke uses the FARO Laser ScanArm® V3  and Platinum FaroArm to scan a part.

FARO Laser ScanArmThe FARO Laser ScanArm® V3 is ideal for inspection, point cloud-to-CAD comparison, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, and 3-D modeling. SiMT RPC can hard-probe measure simple point variations, then laser scan sections for larger volumes of data. The technology helps companies bring top-quality products to market more quickly.
