3DSUG News: For Users, By Users February 2009
A Word from the Chair
Early Registration Discount Ends February 21
3DSUG Chairmanb

With a month to go, it's time to register for the 2009 3DSUG Conference in Daytona, Florida. Our conference rate of $495 is very low compared to other organizations and there is so much knowledge to be shared and gained.  We have many Hands-On Training sessions with Certificates of Completion that can provide value and a competitive advantage to your organization. Talk to expert Users on how to use software, build parameters, and styles including advanced options. You can learn about 3D Scanning and Metrology techniques. Make your models work for you by advanced finishing and RTV techniques. Learn how Magics software can enhance the utilization of your additive technologies. Get your registration in by February 21st before the price goes up!

With the Conference fast approaching, I still have a few opportunities left in the agenda for our Users to present. In addition, we are offering one free 2010 3DSUG Conference registration to the winner of the Technical Competition. Please contact Sheku Kamara for more information. Sheku's email is: pastchairperson@3dsug.org.

In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact me with questions.

Brian Bauman, DSM Somos & 2009 3DSUG Chairperson

Treasurer's Report
No Refund Policy
Guy Bourdeau As treasurer for the Users Group I want to thank all our Sponsor and Vendors for their support in this down economy. Your continued support makes our program possible and helps to keep our prices reasonable.

The group is proud to be financially sound and able to move forward with this year's conference. Costs continue to rise and the economy continues to bring bad news daily. Under all these conditions your Users Group has not raised prices in many years. Our goal is to provide you with the best conference with the most useful information possible and offer this at one of the lowest prices in the industry.

I would like to remind all potential attendees and vendors that the discounted rate for this year's conference will end on February 21, 2009 at 11:59pm. After that date the price for attendees will raise to $600 and the vendor tables will rise to $750. Please register early and take advantage of the low prices by registering early. I also want to remind everyone that after February 21, 2009 the no refund policy will start and this will include all registrations including the Awards Night Guest and the Golf Outing. We have to initiate this policy from that point on. Your registration is locked in and we have to make that commitment to the hotel and our vendors and if you cancel after that date your Users Group is still responsible for the payment even though you cancelled. Please register responsibly.
